2026-27 Tryouts

Spice 12U will be holding open tryouts on June 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Laurelhurst Playfield, Field 1. With some of our older 12Us moving up to 14U next season, we will be looking to build on a strong core as a 12B team, with the possibility of reclassifying to 12A later in the year. We plan to carry 12 players, with potentially three reserve players.​

Coaches

Seattle Spice's 12U team will be led by Farrah Leland and will also include coach Jesse Miller. This group has a great deal of experience coaching softball and we are looking forward to another fun season in 12U.

General

Our team started 2025-26 as a 12B team, but reclassified to 12A in the spring after a successful fall and winter season. We plan to carry a 12-player game roster, with up to 3 reserve players. Reserve players come to all practices, have access to specialized training with UW players and the opportunity to be called up for tournaments as needed. We practice in Seattle at parks in North Seattle neighborhood areas.

Philosophy

We are committed to helping our young athletes be excellent teammates, strengthen their fundamentals and develop both individually and as a team.  Building a close-nit, fun team environment and the self-esteem of our players will always be our top priority.  We embrace and encourage multi-sport athletes and are a Little League friendly program.
